Lord's Prayer Preaching Series

Lords-Prayer PrayLikeJesus.jpg

So why preach the Lord’s Prayer? The Lord’s Prayer is worth preaching because it is both timely and timeless. It can be readily applied to virtually any aspect of a person’s life. It is as the writer of Proverbs says, “A word in season,” and a good word indeed (Prov 15:23).

During Eastertide we will be learning about the greatest prayer offered to the world by our Lord. Come and worship with us this spring.

A Letter From the Council of Bishops

Council of Bishop.jpg

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the entire Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church, I greet you as we enter the Lenten Season – a season of reflection and preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ triumphant resurrection on Easter.

The pattern of our Lenten journey was set by Jesus during his 40 days of solitude, fasting, prayer and testing in the Judean desert. This was an essential period of preparation for Jesus’ public ministry.

Lenten Preaching Series - "Listening to Jesus

Do you listen to the Lord? This Lent we will be enjoying Sunday morning and evening worship services; additional evening services Holy Week, plus a time to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ as we participate in Stations of the Cross on Holy Saturday. Let us listen for His still small voice! Come & worship with us!

Breakthrough Prayer Initiative

Breakthrough Prayer.jpg

Prayer is important to Richland Church. It is one of our Core Values, which is foundational in all that we do for the Lord. But in order for RUMC to be the blessing the Lord wants her to be, the whole congregation needs to be praying together.

Through our Breakthrough scripture and prayer we are asking that God bless RUMC, lead her in His will and ways, and speak to her people what they need for today and the future.
