Advent Study


This Advent and Christmas season we will be studying "The Amazing Names of the Messiah", by Bill Crowder.

The study will begin on Sunday, November 27th, immediately after worship (11:15am), in the Fellowship Hall. We will learn about:

Study 1: "What's in a Name?" taught by Pastor Karen
Study 2: "A Guiding Name: Wonderful Counselor" taught by Sharon B.
Study 3: "A Powerful Name: Mighty God"
Study 4: "A Timeless Name: Everlasting Father"
Study 5: "A Comforting Name: Prince of Peace"
Study 6: "What Do You Call Him?"

Our Leadership Team has been praying and fasting about the direction of ministry and worship for RUMC for the remainder of 2016 and into 2017.
The symbol to the right encapsulates the Mission & Vision. The triangle is used, since all of our Worship and Ministry is centered in our Triune God.

“But who do you say that I am?” - Mark 8:29

It’s quite appropriate that at the end of Luke’s Gospel, he recounts the interaction Jesus had with a couple of his disciples walking along the road to Emmaus. Jesus—the Messiah—has been crucified and the disciples are stupefied, unable to piece it all together. But along comes Jesus disguised as he has been throughout the Scripture and he opens their eyes to see that the whole of Scripture is really about him:
