Kingdom Growth

"As for what was planted on good soil, this refers to those who hear and understand, and bear fruit and produce—in one case a yield of one hundred to one, in another case a yield of sixty to one, and in another case a yield of thirty to one." - Matthew 13:23

Once you’ve decided to grow in your relationship with God, the next question is: "How?"

There are so many devotionals, classes, spiritual practices, that it can be overwhelming. A friend might recommend something that works for them, but you feel nothing exceptional. This is okay! A monk in the 1600s named Brother Lawrence felt closest to God while washing dishes – that’s certainly not everyone’s method for seeking God!

We are all designed so intricately by God that our ways of growing with God are vastly unique. Some experience God in nature, some in meditation. Others through exercise, laughter, work, books, live music, and yes, even through chores! There is no right or wrong way to seek God. You know your personality, your likes and dislikes. You know what stimulates your mind and heart. Connect those activities with prayer. You will discover yourself and God in indescribable ways!

God, guide me to my special way to connect with you. Help me to love my uniqueness and how you have created me to be different. Amen.
