“Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." - Revelation 3:20-21

As I sat back to write this devotion, I am reminded of how my grandfather loved to fish. There wasn't a location that he wouldn't go to fish. It didn't matter if it was on a hill, in high grass or in the mud, he would still enjoy himself. All that mattered to my granddad, was that he would be able to fish. For in each fishing location, he would find rest and joy.

And with that being said, could it be possible that this is how our picture of Jesus should be? With Him knocking on doors no matter the location... not being deterred by hills or high grass, or walking and sloshing through mud. And all of this, so that we might have the chance to know rest, joy, and eternal life.

We know that Jesus wouldn't stop knocking on doors, as long as He knew that He could save another soul. This is why today, make sure you answer the door and let the Lord into your life. He has traveled through the muck and gunk of this life, in order to offer you His extravagant love!

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I present myself to You. I pray and ask Jesus to be Lord over my life. I believe it in my heart, so I say it with my mouth: 'Jesus has been raised from the dead.' This moment, I make Him the Lord over my life. Jesus, come into my heart. Save me of my sins. Today I am reborn. I am a Christian. I am a child of Almighty God. Amen.
