Saving Faith

Saving Faith.jpg

"For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes." - Galatians 3:26-27

"But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are." - Romans 3:21-22

God loved you so much that He sent Jesus to die for your sins. Jesus rose from the grave conquering death itself. But having a relationship with God through Jesus is more than a knowledge of these facts.

God saved you by His grace, He saved you when you believed. You cannot take credit because it is a gift from God. And, your salvation is not a reward for the good things you have done, so you cannot boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation is the deliverance from God's judgment against your sin...YOUR sin. It's found only in the sacrifice of Jesus who accepted the punishment for you...He died for YOU! It's also a work of God's grace that is received only by faith--by believing and trusting that Christ's sacrifice paid the penalty for YOUR sin.

Have YOU asked Jesus to be YOUR Savior? Have YOU given YOUR life to Christ? If so, what does it mean to YOU to be saved?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept You out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear You knocking. By faith I gratefully receive Your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank You for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe Your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen. (The Sinner's Prayer)
