A Word from Our Pastor

As I write this article, I am amazed by the rain. It has been an unusual summer, more like a summer you might find in Washington state or Hawaii. For the middle of July, it is beautiful, but I cannot help but wonder...are the changes we are seeing in weather a sign of a new norm? Is weather change happening before our eyes?
Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." So, although weather might be shifting, the love, mercy and grace of our Lord, is not! He is there for us everyday. He walks with us through good times and bad. He loves us with an extravagant love, and He will do so until the end of the age!
As you watch the news and bemoan all of the sin and evil that you see around you, remember God is there. In the midst of the brokenness, God is offering a balm of healing. In the midst of the chaos, Christ is mending hearts. In the midst of the evil, the Holy Spirit is strengthening us to the bottoms of our very souls!   So, do not lose hope! God is with you. He loves you. He protects you. He will lead you home.
Tomorrow might look bleak, but in Him there is hope!   The world may seem to be "going to hell in a handbasket," but God is in control!
So, for now, keep walking in the paths of righteousness, journeying daily with the Lord.  He loves you dearly!
In His Service,
Pastor Karen
